The Hardt Foundation for the Study of Classical Antiquity is a research centre specializing in the fields of Ancient Greek, Latin, Ancient History and Philosophy.
From February to December, the Foundation welcomes researchers who wish to pursue their studies to its estate in Vandœuvres near Geneva. Facilities include a specialized library of almost 40,000 volumes in a unique setting with unparalleled conditions for study and research. Its access is made available by a modest financial contribution, and scholarships may be obtained for researchers up to the age of 35.
In addition, the Foundation holds an annual “Entretiens sur l’Antiquité classique”, devoted to a variety of themes, the proceedings of which are published the following year. To date, 57 volumes have been published, nearly all are still available.
This year's “Entretiens sur l’Antiquité classique” entitled “The Greeks, Heirs of the Romans - Les Grecs héritiers des Romains" will take place from August 27 to 31, 2012. They are prepared by Paul Schubert.
