and the Hardt Foundation
You are invited to join the Foundation’s movement of support initiated in 2003. In this manner, you will be associated with all the persons, foundations, institutions and enterprises convinced of the role which Classical Antiquity will be called upon to play in modern society in the decades to come.
The Hardt Foundation for the Study of Classical Antiquity is a research centre specializing in the fields of Ancient Greek, Latin, Ancient History and Philosophy.
From February to December, the Foundation welcomes researchers who wish to pursue their studies to its estate in Vandœuvres near Geneva. Facilities include a specialized library of almost 40,000 volumes in a unique setting with unparalleled conditions for study and research. Its access is made available by a modest financial contribution, and scholarships may be obtained for researchers up to the age of 35.
In addition, the Foundation holds an annual “Entretiens sur l’Antiquité classique”, devoted to a variety of themes, the proceedings of which are published the following year. To date, 59 volumes have been published, nearly all are still available.
