\nThe Banker Charles Lecointe acquires some land and a rural building from the heirs of Jacques Gautier.<\/p>\n

1811\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
\nThe banker Jean Ador, grandfather of Gustave Ador, future President of the Swiss Confederation, purchases the estate for his wife Adrienne Jeanne Dassier, great-granddaughter of the medallist Jean Dassier. The courtyard is created and the outbuildings are converted into stables. Trails are created in the park.<\/p>\n

1859<\/strong>
\nThe estate is divided: Am\u00e9lie-Fran\u00e7oise Ador, wife of Elie Alexandre P\u00e9rier of Rolle, inherits the west half.<\/p>\n

1860-1862\u00a0<\/strong>
\nThe Genevan architect Samuel Darier is assigned to renovate the estate: to enlarge the main house and remodel its interior; to consolidate the fa\u00e7ade by creating a terrace; to decorate with stucco and faux-bois; and to create an enclosed garden, with a greenhouse and an orangery and pools with water jets.<\/p>\n

1898\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
\nCharles Brot acquires the estate.<\/p>\n

1916\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
\nPaul des Gouttes, lawyer and member of the International Committee of the Red Cross, acquires the estate, which he names \u201cLa Chandoleine.\u201d<\/p>\n

1950<\/strong>
\nThe German Baron Kurd von Hardt purchases the estate. The stables are converted into a neoclassical-style building that houses the academic library.<\/p>\n

2004\u00a0<\/strong>
\nRenovation works begin on the Foundation buildings.<\/p>\n

2007<\/strong>
\nThe estate is listed on the Genevan registry of protected buildings.<\/p>\n

\nRestoration of the orangery and the greenhouse.<\/p>\n
