Catalogues / search

Search
You can run a search in the Geneva libraries catalogue by typing keywords separated by a space, in the catalogue search line .

Tips

Truncation
You can truncate your search terms by using:

  • an asterisk (*) to replace an indeterminate number of characters
  • a question mark ( ?) to replace a precise number of characters

Example: V?rgil*
The system searches for Virgile Virgil Virgilio Virgilius Vergil Vergilius…

Phrases

Using quotation marks (“) allows you to search for a phrase, i.e. a series of words in a precise order
Example: “Commentarii belli Gallici”.
